The name 'Touch the Earth' honors the traditional Native American bond with nature, and represents the concept that through physically touching the soil one can touch the soul of our planet and be at peace within the universe. The fine art calligraphy called 'SHODO' was created by
Kyoko Hunt, my good friend who teaches art and paints with
her husband Owen, where they live in Kyoto, Japan.

The 'Peace on Earth' design is screen printed on silk, double sided with one side of the earth and the word 'Peace' and on the reverse the other side of the earth with the word 'Goodwill' in Japanese and English. My good friend Yumiko Ozawa-Freeman created the beautiful konji. She lives with her husband in a Yurt in the Oregon woods near the coast.
